What Is IAABC?

iaabc-logo-fb3As you might already know, our trainer Ida Lyons Geering is an experienced dog behaviorist and psychologist. Additionally, she’s a certified member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants. The goals of this organization are to standardize and support the practice of companion animal behavior consulting while providing resources for pet owners and trainers, needing advice.

Being a member of this well-recognized and globally-acclaimed organization, this spring Ida will be attending an annual IAABC conference in Burlington, MA. During the four days of cutting-edge, science-based and practical education for animal training and behavior professionals (April 19th – April 22nd, 2018), Ida will be continuing her dog psychology education and learning new scientific discoveries in the animal behavior world as well as the newest methods of working with animals. The conference will include cutting-edge presentations and case studies by the field experts, focused on various handling and training techniques, animals’ nutrition, aggression towards people or other animals, medical facts that affect a dog’s character, and more. In addition to an immense educational value of this event, IAABC conference is also a great networking opportunity.

At Leader of the Pack, we want to make sure that you and your four-legged friend are getting the best, most effective and gratifying dog agility and obedience training.  We strive to be ahead of the game as it’s our responsibility and commitment to you. Your satisfaction and gratitude are the reasons why we never stop improving and growing.

Please, note: Leader of the Pack training facility will be closed during the IAABC event, from Thursday, April 19th, to Sunday, April 22nd. The classes will resume on Monday, April 23rd. If you are interested in attending a group dog obedience training session, sign up today!
